Krater at the moment operates in closed environment to ensure the quality of the service, please leave a request to join to get an invitation when we send out the next round of invitations.
Krater is a marketplace designed to act as middleware to match you with the reviewed Hosting Providers without actually being in the middle of the agreement, the contract is always between the User and the Provider.
Krater doesn’t require the hardware to be bought on the marketplace in order to use it but some Providers might restrict the relocation of the hardware to the facility or out of it.
Krater Node is the software installed on-premise of the facility to send requests (every 5 minutes) to the hardware and receive responses with the relevant information about the machines.
Krater Node is able to receive commands sent out by the User from their Krater Dashboard to perform actions like Shutdown, Reboot, Change Pool, etc (if allowed by the Provider).
Krater developed different algorithms for each brand and model of the hardware (stock and custom firmware). We test our algorithms against power meters to ensure we’re in the range of ±2% error rate.
