After installing Krater Node go to “Workers” section then press “Add Workers” and follow the instructions, it will require basic information about all the workers you would like to add like: IP Address, GUI Username, GUI Password, also optional fields like: Serial Number and MAC Address.

Krater developed different algorithms for each brand and model of the hardware (stock and custom firmware). We test our algorithms against power meters to ensure we’re in the range of ±2% error rate.

It’s possible for the Provider to adjust the “Energy Security” percentage which will adjust the energy measured accordingly to prevent inaccuracies. All the information received by Krater Node from the hardware about its energy consumption will be multiplied by this value.

The feature is useful if you would like to establish different prices for hosting for different customers in your farm. For just one example: high volume (energy consumption) customers get cheaper energy rate compared to low volume (energy consumption) customers. It can automatically detect consumption to adjust the tier accordingly.

Krater Node is software installed on-premise (on the server inside the farm’s network) to communicate with the hardware and receive information which then sent to Krater Dashboard.

Sitemap is a tool that helps with locating problematic spots inside the farm, it can help with finding cooling problems and overall infrastructure issues. It allows to place the hardware on the visual grid (like a rack) in the Dashboard exactly as it’s placed physically inside the farm.
